The results are in for the Automotive Service Association of Arizona’s annual survey of body shops, and USAA has ranked the best while Progressive has ranked the worst.
The top 10 among 40 rated insurance companies were recently honored at the group’s 11th annual "Best Insurers Awards" banquet in Phoenix.
USAA has roughly 2.4 percent of the market share in private-passenger auto liability, according to the Arizona Department of Insurance.
State Farm finished second to USAA. It has about a 13.1 percent share of the market. Progressive has about 4.5 percent.
In the survey, USAA ranked number-one in overall policies, attitudes, payment processes and the quality and timeliness of repairs provided.
Scores ranged from 3.3 to 7.9 on a 10-point scale.
"The purpose of us putting this survey together is to show the significant variances as to how policyholders are treated after a loss," said Luz Rubio, executive director of ASA of Arizona.
