ASRW Issues Call for Presentations for 2012 Conference Program

Comprised of the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS), ASRW is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La.

Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) ASRW 2012 has issued a call for presentations from industry speakers, professional speakers and subject matter experts who wish to participate in the Conference Program at this year’s event. Comprised of the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS), ASRW is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La.

Presentations must be submitted online and will be selected to fit the Management, Technical or Women’s Professional Development tracks and available formats of either 90 minutes or three hours. All three-hour sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10. Ninety-minute sessions will be scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Oct. 13, and presenters should be available to speak on any day of the conference.

The deadline for submitting presentations is Friday, Feb. 10. Show management and the ASRW conference planning committee will review all proposals on originality of proposal, past speaker performance (or references), timeliness of topic, practical application of concepts or information and/or relevance to the collision repair and automotive service industries.

"The comprehensive training and education we are able to provide each year at ASRW is contingent upon the experts and industry leaders who are willing to lead a session, and we’re always proud of the caliber and quality of education we’re able to offer to the industry each year," said Bill Haas, vice president of education and training for ASA. "ASRW has a longstanding history of meeting the educational needs of the industry, and we look forward to receiving presentation ideas which will shape and guide this year’s program."

All presentations selected for the Management and Women’s Professional Development tracks will be submitted to the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) for potential AMI accreditation.
