Assured Performance Co-Op Network, the largest network of independently owned collision repair business in North America announced today that it has named Randy Profeta its new vice president of network development and industry relations. Profeta has worked in the automotive and collision repair industry for more than 35 years in both the retail and wholesale segments.

Immediately before joining Assured Performance, Profeta worked for Car-O-Liner Company in Wixom, Mich., as their OEM liaison and director of technical services. Prior to that, Randy was the corporate director of collision services for AutoNation, with direct responsibility for the oversight and operation of over 90 dealer-operated collision repair facilities. Profeta spent 10 years with Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. in a dealer development role. His department was responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Toyota Certified Collision Center (TCCC) program. Profeta’s group successfully adapted the lean manufacturing concepts of the Toyota Production System to body and paint service.

An active participant in the industry, Profeta was a member of the board of directors for the National Auto Body Council from 1999 to 2004. He holds ASE certifications as a Master Auto Body and Paint Technician, Collision Estimator and Automotive Mechanical Technician.

“We are thrilled to have Randy joining us to work closely with our OEM strategic partners and co-op vendors. He has the perfect previous experience to help our co-op continue to expand our impact and value to our members,” said Scott Biggs, Assured Performance Network CEO.

Profeta holds a degree in marketing from Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J. He returned to Seton Hall in 1996 and earned a master’s degree in international business. On a personal note, he has a family of three, and to keep fit, Randy participates in endurance sports and bicycle racing.

Profeta commented, “This new position fully leverages my career accomplishments in the automotive industry. I am thrilled to help lead the team at Assured Performance and drive many new initiatives for our members and strategic partners.”
