Atlas Copco Appoints John Brookshire General Manager of U.S. Customer Center

Atlas Copco has appointed John Brookshire as general manager for the U.S. Compressor Technique Customer Center.

Brookshire, a 28-year veteran of Atlas Copco, moves back to his native U.S. following four years in China, where he managed the Atlas Copco Compressor Technique Customer Center in Shanghai. Prior to that, he served as managing director of Atlas Copco Manufacturing in Korea and worked in Mexico before that, spending four years in each country.

“John knows our compressor business as well as anyone, and I’m confident that our customers will appreciate the knowledge and leadership that he brings with him,” said Ray Lofgren, chairman of the Atlas Copco Compressors Customer Center. “Unparalleled customer service is one of the driving principles behind our business, and the addition of John to our U.S. team only stands to further strengthen our operations in the U.S.”

Brookshire began his career with Atlas Copco in 1984 as an area sales manager in the southeast U.S. He was appointed eastern regional manager for the Holyoke (Mass.) Customer Center in 1993 before becoming the international sales manager in North and South America for the Gas and Process division in 1996. He begins his new position in the U.S. effective immediately.
