AudaExplore Makes Vehicle Identification Technology Available to Collision Repairers

AudaExplore has announced that AudaVIN, its advanced, patent-pending vehicle identification technology, is now available for collision repairers. Long available to insurance carriers, AudaVIN utilizes vehicle identification numbers (VINs) to provide complete, vehicle-specific information, accurately identify parts and options packages, and maximize customer satisfaction.

AudaVIN has been tightly integrated with Audatex Estimating to give shops immediate and accurate vehicle equipment and parts identification directly from within the estimating platform, according to the company. Everything from exterior paint and interior trim data, to the vehicle’s make, model, style, edition, production date, standard equipment, factory-installed options, and engine and transmission details is identified in seconds by the AudaVIN software. AudaVIN offers instant access to more than 64 million GM vehicles along with the VINs and complex regular production options (RPO) data from more than 28 global automotive brands to drive faster, more efficient claims cycles for shops and their customers.

AudaExplore data shows that use of AudaVIN leads to a 10 percent reduction in supplemental estimates, adding to its contributions toward improving customer service and decreasing repair time and costs, according to Gordon Henderson, vice president, collision repair services, AudaExplore.

“Simply put, AudaVIN takes the guesswork out of vehicle identification for collision repair shops. It’s the only technology on the market to integrate full VIN and RPO information into the estimating platform, making it fast and convenient for estimators to select the right parts and option details right up front,” said Henderson. “As the future of automotive claims points to providing superior customer service, shops that make use of AudaVIN will find that it not only delivers more accurate estimates but it also instills customer confidence that the proper repairs are being made to their own specific vehicle.”

AudaVIN delivers immediate accuracy and greater control of the automobile claims and collision repair experience using the world’s most advanced vehicle identification technology. It provides vehicle-specific information, as recorded by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) themselves on the production line, automatically identifying standard and optional equipment and related parts to determine partial loss estimates or total loss valuations. AudaVIN is priced based on a per-use basis and supports GM, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Smart, Volkswagen, Volvo, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Infiniti, Jaguar Land Rover and a growing list of other popular brands.
