Audatex North America and Explore Information Services Merge

Combination establishes "AudaExplore," offering insurance customers a "one-stop shop" for claims and underwriting solutions.

Audatex North America Inc., a provider of solutions and services to the U.S. automotive insurance claims processing industry and an operating unit of Solera Holdings Inc. and Explore Information Services LLC ("Explore"), recently announced that Audatex’s U.S. operations will be combined with the operations of Explore to form "AudaExplore."

AudaExplore states that the combination of Audatex and Explore will leverage the best of both organizations, offering insurance customers a "one-stop shop" for best-in-class claims and underwriting solutions that it says are not available from any other vendor in the marketplace today.

"The formation of AudaExplore enables us to combine the vehicle and claims data from Audatex with the underwriting expertise, analytics skills and location-based risk information from Explore," said Steve Webb, regional managing director for AudaExplore. "Together, we are capable of delivering even more powerful claims, underwriting and rating products to our customers. AudaExplore is dedicated to providing innovative, data-driven solutions that make our insurance, repair shop and government customers more competitive and profitable."

The creation of AudaExplore will enable the organization to more completely serve the growing needs of its customers. Combining the talents of its product development and data analytics teams enables AudaExplore to form a stronger, more diverse innovation team. The team will focus on bringing the predictive modeling, analytics capabilities and location data of Explore to develop predictive insurance claims solutions, as well as new underwriting solutions that utilize vehicle and claims data.

Founded in 1989, Explore has grown steadily over the past 24 years, serving the insurance industry and state government agencies. Explore’s insurance solutions allow underwriters to identify risk exposure, while its government solutions enable state agencies to be more efficient and more responsive to their constituents. In June of 2011, Solera completed the acquisition of Explore, and Explore has successfully been working with Audatex U.S. for the past 20 months.

Audatex provides intelligent solutions and services that improve the efficiency of the automotive claims processing and collision repair workflows. In the fall of 2012, Audatex announced the North American debut of AudaNet, its intelligent, next-generation claims and collision repair platform. Built on proven technology successfully used for years across 20 countries throughout Europe, AudaNet processes thousands of transactions daily. It has been optimized for the North American market to seamlessly connect insurers, independent appraisers, repair shops and vehicle owners.
