Auto Angels to Gift Vehicles and Repairs

The Auto Angels of the Florida Auto-body Collision Alliance’s (FACA) Mid-State Chapter will give away reconditioned vehicles and mechanical services to local residents in need of dependable transportation. The event will take place Thursday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at Victory Church in Lakeland, Fla.

The association sorted through more than 260 applications to select 11 recipients of the vehicles. In addition, three recipients with disabled vehicles in need of repair have been chosen to receive gifted repairs as well.

The event will be emceed by Rev. Wayne Blackburn, senior pastor at Victory Church. He will introduce Barrett Smith of Auto Damage Experts Inc., spokesperson for Florida Autobody Collision Alliance (FACA) Mid-State Chapter; and Polk County’s Sherriff Grady Judd, who will call forth each recipient. The recipients will be escorted to their vehicle by the participating repairers directly involved in the refurbishing efforts.

“It always seems like each year gets better than the last, and this year’s no different," said David Stewart, this year’s Auto Angels chairman. "We’ve been gifted some great vehicles, which have been reconditioned by some great local repairers and their staff.Without the efforts, resources, hard work and dedication of those who gave their time and abilities, Auto Angels simply wouldn’t exist.”
