Auto Paint Supply Company Celebrates 40 Years

Auto Paint Supply Company, the only independent auto paint wholesaler in Central Virginia, is celebrating 40 years this year.

Established in 1970 by Jimmy Myers and his father, James Myers, Sr., the mission was to “build a company that would raise the standard of excellence in the automotive paint industry.”

“To be successful in this business, you have to be attentive to customer needs and the newest technologies,” says Jimmy Meyers. “Our emphasis is on being the best customer service and knowledge base available. That’s what has sustained us these last 40 years.”

Auto Paint Supply Company, which has 23 employees, says that all of its associates are specialists in automotive paint, related equipment and car care products. An on-site information technology/technical representative assists customers with questions and concerns.

A new website, www.autopaint.com, features direct-to-employee e-mail, pull-down menus of major manufacturers’ Technical Data Sheets, training programs, product information and formulas, a list of respected collision repair facilities, technical and educational updates, and a “Shop Spot” section that spotlights individual paint and body shops.

Auto Paint Supply Company has three locations in Richmond, Charlottesville and Raleigh.
