Axalta Coating Systems Makes $22,000 Product Donation to Collision Education Program

Nicols Career Center in Jefferson City, Mo., receives Nason mixing system, tints, lids, scale, color computer and companion products.

Axalta Coating Systems recently donated $22,000 in products to Nicols Career Center in Jefferson City, Mo., through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

Nicols Career Center was one of the 2012 winning schools of the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s Ultimate Collision Education Makeover school grant. The donation consisted of a Nason mixing system, tints, lids, scale, color computer and companion products, and will keep the school from having to use its own limited resources to buy these materials.

“I would like to thank Axalta Coating Systems for their support of our Makeover school grant program and providing the product donations to Nicols Career Center," said Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode. "Through these types of in-kind product donations, we are able to provide both the instructors and students with current product that the students will work with upon entering the industry after graduation.”

Added Jim Evans, national training manager at Axalta Coating Systems, “We are pleased and excited to have the opportunity to positively affect the development of future collision repair professionals via our donation. Axalta Coating Systems is committed to technical education and will continue to support the efforts of the Collision Repair Education Foundation. We congratulate the staff and students at Nicols Career Center for this award and their dedication to education and self-improvement, and trust that this donation will provide the products, tools and resources to make their journey one that they will remember with pride.”
