Axalta Coating Systems received the Frost & Sullivan 2017 Market Leadership Award for the automotive refinish coatings industry, which recognized the company’s refinish brands Cromax, Spies Hecker and Standox as best-in-class globally.

“Axalta’s Refinish business and brands are recognized by body shops around the world as the market leader,” said Joe McDougall, executive vice president and president global refinish and EMEA. “Receiving the Frost & Sullivan award for being the best-in-class refinish paint provider in the world further validates our leadership position. It serves as a reminder that to remain the best, we must continue to stay focused on delivering to customers every day. We take great pride in differentiating ourselves both in the high quality of the products we deliver and on serving our customers. We work hard to improve every day and give our customers the tools they need to succeed. Our goal is to enable the body shops we serve to be faster, more efficient, and less wasteful.”

Frost & Sullivan evaluates many criteria when reviewing award candidates, including product quality, technology, customer experience, performance, brand strength and more. The firm conducts 360-degree research, performs quality checks and presents findings to a panel of industry experts. The award write-up, which may be read here, points to Axalta’s focus on environmental sustainability, innovative training opportunities and superior products that are designed to boost body shop productivity as reasons the company is deserving of the award.

“In an environment where coating demands and requirements for automotive refinish processes are steadily changing, Axalta has maintained its market leadership through constant innovation and strong customer relationships,” said Christeena Thomas, Frost & Sullivan senior research analyst. “Our research confirms that with its broad portfolio of automotive refinish coatings, the company has successfully established its brand image, solidifying it as a provider of best-in-class products and high customer value.”
