B&L Automotive of Chicago, Ill., has received the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s Industry Leadership Circle donor recognition designation through their $1,000 contribution to the foundation. Individual repair facilities achieve this donor designation by donating $1,000 or more annually to the Education Foundation. This donation will support the foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign fund, which allows the foundation to provide its annual student scholarships, school grants and the Ultimate Collision Education Makeover grant.
B&L Automotive Repairs, Inc. Owner/President Pete Rizzo said, “B&L Automotive Repairs, Inc. has been in the collision industry since 1978. The last couple of years, our industry has advanced and evolved to a point that not just anybody can work on these ‘newer’ cars. With going ‘green,’ computer measuring, waterborne, aluminum, paperless and 6H, we see the need for fresh open minds and understand in order to utilize these minds, we must start with the proper education. Through motivating and educating our own employees, positive change has been hard, sometimes frustrating — not to mention, time consuming.
