BASF to Host Restyled Vehicles and Celebrity Autograph Sessions at SEMA Show

BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions will unveil restyled vehicles, host autograph sessions and prize drawings, and display the latest in custom color technology at booth 21455 at the 2012 SEMA Show, Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 in Las Vegas.
 
During the show, BASF will display vehicles featuring its Glasurit and R-M waterborne paint systems.
 
BASF will unveil a restyled vehicle from Chip Foose on Oct. 30 at 2 p.m., and one from the Ringbrothers at 2:10 p.m., during a press conference at its booth. In addition, the company will display the 2012 Ridler Award Winning 1955 Ford Thunderbird and a restyled 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500.
 
Experts from BASF will be on hand to discuss the latest in waterborne and color technology, collision repair services and tools, and the best color matching tools in the industry.
 
Chip Foose, nationally known television personality, automotive designer and owner of Foose Design, will be on hand during the press conference to unveil the 1948 Cadillac Eldorado "Eldorod" that he has restyled and painted with a custom blended Deep Blue from BASF’s Glasurit 90-Line waterborne system. In addition, Foose will be at the BASF booth to sign autographs on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and on Friday, Nov. 2 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
 
During the press conference, BASF will also host the unveiling of the "Grinch," a 1970 Chevy Camaro restyled by the Ringbrothers and painted in Custom Green from the Glasurit 90-Line. Mike and Jim Ring from Ringbrothers will be on hand for the unveiling and will also make an appearance at the BASF booth on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m.
 
BASF is also featuring two additional must-see vehicles at its SEMA booth. The 2012 Ridler Award Winning 1955 Ford Thunderbird, designed by Jonathon Peace and built by Torq’d Design Lab and Greening Auto Company, will be on display. The Thunderbird, which is owned by Dwayne Peace, is painted in Glasurit 90-Line Brilliant Red. Also being exhibited is the "Kardiac 500," a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500 that was a Great 8 finalist at this year’s Detroit Autorama. Built by JF Kustoms and owned by Gordon Phillips, the Kardiac 500 is painted in a R-M Onyx HD Custom Mocha.
 
BASF will also host Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs for an autograph session with fans on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m., and hold daily prize drawings at its booth for attendees.
