The Boyd Group announced the Feb. 23 acquisition of three collision repair centers in Dallas and its neighboring suburbs.

The new Gerber Collision & Glass stores previously operated as Earth Collision Center. Founded in Carrollton in 2010, the shop later added locations in The Colony and Dallas. The three locations span a 22-mile radius from The Colony to Dallas.

“We enter Texas with the establishment of a key presence in Dallas, one of the largest cities in the country,” said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group. “We are pleased to be entering this market with the support of Brad Hansing and Will Kitchens, previous owner and manager of these locations. Brad will take on the role of market manager to oversee these new locations and grow our presence in the region.”

Boyd Group CEO Brock Bulbuck added: “We are proud to now serve our customers and insurance providers in 22 states, and look forward to further establishing our presence in Texas, the second-largest state in the country. This is a great acquisition for the Boyd Group as we seek to expand our presence in North America and work towards our goal of doubling our business by 2020.”
