Caliber Collision CEO Steve Grimshaw has been named Ernst & Young’s 2016 Southwest Entrepreneur of the Year in the services category.

Grimshaw received the award at the annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Gala in Dallas, which honors and recognizes the men and women who create the products, services and jobs that help the economy and local communities grow.

“I am honored and humbled to receive this award on behalf of Caliber’s 9,000 teammates who are dedicated to achieving our overall company purpose, which is to ‘Restore the Rhythm of Lives’ for our customers, team members and the local communities that we serve,” said Grimshaw.

Grimshaw was selected for this award by a panel of national business leaders for his strategic tenets to drive incremental business while providing operational consistency, complete customer satisfaction and managing clients’ overall costs.

Since Grimshaw took the reins in 2009, Caliber Collision has grown from 68 locations to 412 centers in 16 states and the District of Columbia, and the number of teammates has grown from 2,100 to 9,000 today.

Under Grimshaw’s leadership, Caliber Collision’s philanthropic efforts have been woven into the Caliber culture. These efforts include an annual Rhythm Restoration Food Drive which will collect in excess of three million meals this year for children in need of nutritious food while they’re out of school over the summer months, and the Recycled Rides program in which more than 120 vehicles have been donated to military veterans and families in need. In addition, Grimshaw spearheaded the American Heart Association’s 2016 Côtes du Coeur program, raising a record $3.9 million to fight heart disease and stroke.
