Caliber Collision continued its 2013 Recycled Rides campaign by teaming up in recent weeks with several of its insurance partners to donate vehicles to four military veterans in Texas and California.
The most recent vehicle donation – Caliber’s 11th this year – was part of Progressive’s nationwide “Keys to Progress” Recycled Rides event. Caliber’s Spring, Texas, center refurbished and donated a 2002 Ford Explorer to a former Marine, Thomas Griner.
Three other veterans who also received refurbished vehicles from Caliber Collision include:
- Melanie Morales, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, who received a Toyota Matrix donated by Esurance and refurbished by Caliber’s Torrance, Calif., center. The vehicle was donated as part of the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides presentation at the CCC Information Services Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes.
- U.S. Army veterans Henry Johnson and Stephen Fletcher, who received vehicles donated by State Farm and refurbished by Caliber teams at North Richland Hills and Dallas-Love Field in Texas. The Recycled Rides presentation was a highlight during closing ceremonies of the veteran support organization Carry the Load’s Memorial Day March.
