CARSTAR, CAA to Host Free Aluminum Repair Webinar

Webinar will be held Dec. 9 and will cover training, tools and equipment, communication to insurers and more.

CARSTAR announced it will be holding a free aluminum repair webinar in conjunction with the California Auto Body Association on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at noon EST.

CARSTAR aluminum repair experts will discuss:

  • Aluminum repairs in general
  • Training
  • Tools and equipment
  • Preparing
  • How to calculate the ROI
  • Market solutions
  • Communication to insurance and work provider partners

For the past year, CARSTAR’s operations team has been working with CARSTAR owners around the country to help them prepare their shops for the demands of aluminum repair, train technicians on aluminum repair processes for structural and non-structural jobs, and source the tools and equipment needed for aluminum repair. This training program will continue through 2015.

CARSTAR shops that are part of Ford dealerships are officially certified in aluminum repair through Assured Performance and listed as an approved facility on the Ford website. Other CARSTAR stores are recognized for their aluminum repair training, tools and equipment per the Ford Collision Network. In addition, CARSTAR has its own internal certification process that is part of its proprietary EDGE Performance Tier 5.

“We have always been committed to leading the industry in having the best-trained collision repair professionals,” said CARSTAR CEO David Byers. “This is a fundamental part of our ability to deliver the industry’s highest KPIs and customer satisfaction. As vehicle technology evolves, we must continue to provide this advanced training for our collision repair team. And, it means we can send our insurance partners and fleet providers a list of ready and capable stores to handle their repair needs.”
