CARSTAR Chicagoland Business Group Sponsoring Rockin’ for the Troops 2010

Rockin’ for the Troops returns to Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Ill., on Saturday (July 17) at noon for the fifth year in a row. This year, the CARSTAR Chicagoland Business Group are sponsors of the event. Rockin’ for the Troops is a fundraiser concert featuring Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band designed to raise money for Operation Support Our Troops Illinois.

Operation Support Our Troops Illinois provides year-round support to the military by shipping care packages to deployed troops and is a 501C3 non-profit organization. As a community-based franchise servicing the needs of families, CARSTAR’s Chicagoland business owners say they believe in the importance of demonstrating ongoing support for the deployed troops.

"We’re honored to be able to help Operation Support Our Troops on such a worthwhile  project," said Sandra Vincent, marketing director for the Chicago CARSTAR group. "Not only are we excited to participate in a great concert, we’re thrilled to be able to help deliver care packages to the men and women serving our country overseas."

In November 2009, CARSTAR locations throughout Chicagoland served as drop-off locations for those interested in donating items to fill care packages. November is designated as Military Month for all CARSTAR locations throughout the nation.
