CARSTAR Ellis Brothers Collision announced it surprised an elementary school teacher with a free auto body repair to kick off the new year.
The Oakland County community was encouraged to make nominations on why Cooley Elementary teacher Deanna Barcey deserved a free auto body repair.
“We wanted to express our sincerest thanks to the hardworking teachers of our community by giving back to a deserving educator,” said David Ellis, owner of CARSTAR Ellis Brothers Collision. “Working hard each day to keep students engaged during these challenging times is no easy feat, and the last thing teachers should have to worry about is their cars.”
Teachers were encouraged to submit their entries for why they deserve a vehicle repair. Barcey had multiple submissions from her community.
One entry highlighted Barcey’s commitment: “Mrs. Barcey sets the bar to who and what a teacher should be. She loves and respects her students as though they are her own child. She lights up room!”
Another entry highlighted her positivity: “She is amazing! Mrs. Barcey goes above and beyond to help all of her current and past students be the best they can be. She always has a smile on her face and brings positivity in each day! When we think of Cooley Rocks, her name goes right with that motto!”
