CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts announced the addition of two senior members to the CARSTAR corporate team: Cecil Johnson, franchise development executive, and Brad Rein, chief information officer.
CARSTAR recently announced it is making a number of improvements at the corporate level. It has revamped its business group program, restructured its franchise development process, plans to launch a new, proprietary management system in all of its stores beginning at mid-year, and is focusing its service model more narrowly on the delivery of superior operating and financial KPIs in its stores.
To support these initiatives, CARSTAR says it has added proven new leadership in Internet Technology (IT) and Franchise Development by making these new hires and is raising its standards for stores.
“We’re proud to add these two highly qualified leaders to our executive team as we build a strong foundation for the anticipated turnaround of the collision repair industry,” said Dick Cross, chairman and CEO of CARSTAR. “They’ll help accelerate our efforts to deliver enhanced services to our franchisee family and improve our operations.”
As franchise development executive, Cecil Johnson will drive the CARSTAR expansion efforts. Johnson was recently the director of franchise development at Re-bath, LLC, a remodeling franchise concept where he sold over 60 franchises in the last two years and helped double the size of the company in the last four years.
Johnson will report directly to Cross and will be responsible for managing CARSTAR’s franchise recruitment process and the Franchise Development team, including management of franchise candidate leads, corporate Discovery Day, franchise candidate interviews, evaluating franchise applications and awarding franchise agreements.
CARSTAR also appointed Brad Rein as chief information officer. Rein will help transform IT into a strategic advantage for CARSTAR. In his new role, Rein will report to Brad Fountain, CFO. His immediate focus in IT will include managing the successful rollout of the CARSTAR Solution and building an enterprise level business intelligence solution lab.
Rein joins the CARSTAR team from Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Lenexa, Kan., where he served as a business operations and IT executive consultant. CARSTAR says he brings proven expertise in the design, development and administration of highly dispersed, complex network infrastructures and web-based applications in start-up, medium and large companies. CARSTAR says he has a demonstrated track record of driving tactical implementation of network and storage solutions at Quest Diagnostics Inc., eScreen, Inc. and Regional Investment Company, among others.
