CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts announced that President Dan Bailey has chosen to step down from his current position.
After running family collision repair centers for nearly 23 years, the Baileys sold their stores to CARSTAR in 1998, and Dan Bailey joined the CARSTAR corporate team. Since then, he has played a key role in the operational management and improvements of the company’s franchises and corporate-owned stores and has become a highly regarded figure in the industry, according to CARSTAR.
Going forward, Bailey has expressed interest in taking a break and then returning to own and run future CARSTAR Auto Body Repair centers. He will continue to serve as a board member for the Mitchell Advisory Board, on the CCC Advisory Board, as a national judge for Skills USA VICA and as a participant in the Collision Industry Conference (CIC).
"Dan Bailey has been a great business partner, a great asset to our company and our franchisees, a great role model and a great friend," said Dick Cross, chairman and CEO for CARSTAR. "Dan has helped us put in place the strongest platform in our industry for independent owners who want to succeed in today’s demanding collision repair environment and who want to continue to own and run their stores. We wish Dan and his family all the very best and look forward to continuing our relationship just under a different framework."
Bailey will transition his responsibilities over the coming months. No replacement is expected for his position. Stacy Bartnik will assume full responsibility for franchise services. Other recent hires at CARSTAR will allow Dick Cross to take over certain other responsibilities.
