CARSTAR Promotes Two Employees to Leadership Roles

Rick Miller named vice president of field services and operations, Melissa Miller named director of field services and operations.

CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts continues to enhance its field service and operations team with the promotion of two employees.

Rick Miller, who joined CARSTAR in 2007 as a regional service manager and most recently served as director of field services and operations, has led the implementation of the CARSTAR Service EDGE model across the country. With his promotion to assistant vice president of the department, he will manage the execution of strategic business initiatives for the CARSTAR stores, guiding the company’s team of regional service managers and leading stores as they embrace key programs. Previously, Miller worked with Carter & Carter International in Europe and North America since 1998. He started his collision career in Germany as a refinish apprentice then moved back to the U.K. to manage dealer body shops and import reconditioning centers.

Melissa Miller, (no relation), has been promoted to director of field services and operations. She joined CARSTAR in 2004 as a project manager in Franchise Integration, after working as the office manager and marketing director in her family’s collision body shop – Randy & Bob’s CARSTAR in Chicora, Pa. – from 1999 to 2004. She served as regional service manager for Pennsylvania in 2006 and was appointed senior regional service manager in 2009. She is active in the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) and serves on the communications committee.

“Our field service team members are the connection to our store owners, and their leadership, experience and expertise in working with our network are essential to our success as an organization,” said David Byers, CEO of CARSTAR. “We are proud to promote two members of our field service team who have consistently demonstrated the commitment to our stores, a passion for the industry and a true understanding of what it takes to succeed in this business. Congratulations to both Melissa Miller and Rick Miller on their accomplishments.”
