The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) has added the “Hybrid Electric Vehicle Safety” module to its S/P2 e-learning program. The new module is designed to promote awareness of regulations and safety procedures for repairing hybrid electric vehicles.
The module covers Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations relating to hybrid vehicle safety, personal protection equipment and training. It also outlines proper safety procedures to minimize the risk of shock or electrocution to hybrid electric vehicle service technicians.
The new module is available at no additional cost to users of three versions of the S/P2 “Safety” course: S/P2 for Mechanical Service, S/P2 for Collision Repair, and S/P2 for Heavy-Duty Fleets.
