CCC Introduces CCC ONE Repair Methods at NACE 2011

It’s important for collision repairers to have repair procedure data available when writing  estimates at the time of repair, yet the current process for accessing this data takes requires pulling bits of repair data from multiple, unconnected systems and databases, according to CCC Information Services. The company announced that CCC ONE Repair Methods, a fully integrated automotive shop software solution, incorporates repair procedures data from all major OEMs in the CCC ONE Total Repair Platform, eliminating extra steps. The CCC ONE Total Repair Platform combines estimating, shop management and DRP performance functionality into a simple, single hosted solution, according to the company.

CCC says it is the first to offer a truly integrated repair procedures software solution to the marketplace and has been soliciting repairer feedback on CCC ONE Repair Methods in advance of introducing it to the marketplace this fall. According to focus group member Will Johnston of Autobody America, "The way that Repair Methods are integrated into CCC ONE is a huge step forward. Speaking for a company that has used many different solutions for obtaining OE guidelines, I can see that this is not only going to save time but it will also enhance compliance and drive more consistent usage across all of our locations.”

“Access to repair procedures data is central to high quality repairs, shop reputation and strong relationships between repairers and their direct repair insurance partners,” said Jim Dickens, SVP of Automotive Services Group, CCC Information Services Inc. “By integrating repair procedure data into our CCC ONE Estimating solution, our customers can now click on a button within the same screen to see repair procedures for the vehicle they are working on. No need to leave the repair estimate or repair order, no need to learn a separate index and no need to get frustrated when the sought after data can’t be found. This is a real, common-sense solution to an issue facing collision repairers.”

CCC ONE Repair Methods comes equipped with automated indicators that tell a repairer when OEM data is available and the type of data it is, offering visual cues when an error or missing OEM data that is pertinent to the repair at hand. The bookmarking features allow repairers to flag relevant data for future reference and future users so technicians are automatically prompted to review data when they clock into a job. And, because CCC ONE Repair Methods is part of the CCC ONE Total Repair Platform, data is updated online, keeping information current without the need for manual CD and DVD updates, the company added.
