Celette Appoints New Head of North American Operations

As part of an international corporate restructuring, Celette has appointed Matthias Larisch of Elektron, Inc., as general manager of Celette.

The Equinox Group, which also owns Celette, purchased Elektron-Bremen Elektrotechnik GmbH, on July 1, 2009. Larisch is president of North American operations for Elektron, which manufactures spot welders and other equipment for the auto body repair industry. The company is based in Bremen, Germany.

Larisch will continue to oversee Elektron operations in the North America. Elektron and Celette will remain separate corporations but will share the Celette office and warehouse space in Lombard, Ill.

“Celette and Elektron build excellent equipment. Now we will be able to combine our internal resources to develop even better products for our U.S. customers,” said Larisch. “The partnership is a natural fit.”

Celette is a leading producer of automobile frame repair benches and measuring devices. The company says its  equipment is specified by most European car manufacturers as well as a large number of Asian and American makes.

The Equinox Group is a diverse industrial partnership based in Switzerland.
