ProCare Automotive & Collision Inc. and Ellis & Salazar, two long-time family auto body shop operations in the Central Texas area, announced they have merged. The new combined eight-shop MSO will continue to offer locally-owned, family-based and service-oriented automotive collision experiences to the Central Texas area.

Added Clay Fallis, “I know they had other offers from larger companies, and I’m thankful that they chose Procare’s family culture and commitment to service as the closest match to what Ellis and Salazar has spent over 60 years building for their customers and employees.”
“Merging Ellis and Salazar and Procare Automotive and Collision Inc. was a natural fit,” said Joe Lewright. “The two companies want to maintain local ownership, strive to offer exceptional customer service and value employee retention.”
When two of the partners at Ellis & Salazar were looking to retire, Lewright started to look for options to stay in the game. Brock and Fallis were looking for opportunities to grow in Central Texas. All three have known each other for years and share many similar business philosophies, which they say made the merger a great choice for both companies. They now own and operate the eight-shop MSO together.
Ellis & Salazar has been in Austin since 1953. ProCare Automotive and Collision Inc. was founded in 1999. The announcement was made to the shops and employees on November 24, 2014. The business names will remain the same until further notice.
