Symach announced that Chad Seelye has been appointed to the role of vice president USA for the Italian-based company, effective Oct. 3rd, 2016.

In his new position, Seelye will work in collaboration with the team in Italy to educate the U.S. market on Symach’s European technology and equipment, which includes its FixLine process.

“We are excited to have Chad on board with Symach and demonstrate how U.S. shops can be more productive and deliver excellent service to their customers by utilizing our technology and equipment,” said Osvaldo Bergaglio, CEO of Symach. “His 18 years of experience in the collision repair industry will be fundamental to body shops across the nation.”

Prior to joining Symach, Seelye worked at Sterling Autobody Centers (a subsidiary of Allstate Holdings Corp.) in various capacities, including: procurement director, training and development manager, process expert, regional manager, market improvement manager, general manager, service advisor and production manager. Service King Collision Repair Centers acquired Sterling Autobody Centers in June 2014 and Seelye became the company’s procurement director.

Seelye has also worked at Miracle Auto Painting as general manager, shop foreman and an outside sales representative.

“Chad’s background in the repair side of the business gives him a unique perspective in his new role,” said Bergaglio. “He has a clear understanding of the ever-changing collision repair landscape in the United States.”

Over the past two months, Seelye has spent time in Italy with the Symach team and in body shops that have installed and implemented the Symach FixLine process.

“I am extremely impressed with the quality of engineering, the equipment and the people. They are all top-notch,” he said. “Symach is more than just an equipment manufacturer, it is a body shop solution provider. Symach matches the needs of the business with processes and the proper equipment to dramatically increase throughput while significantly decreasing cycle time.

Since expanding to the U.S. two years ago, Symach has set up five new body shops across the North American market. As vice president USA, Seelye will be based in Dallas, Texas, and help further expand Symach’s offerings in the U.S.

“I am looking forward to educating the U.S. market on the Symach approach to collision repair and how to best leverage its game-changing SAP (Symach Application Process) and Drytronic drying technology,” said Seelye.

Seelye said Symach’s unique methodology, which is data driven, is used to model and design new facilities.

“It is based on each client’s historical mix of repairs, desired throughput per day, week and/or month,” said Seelye. “Symach’s design process is developed in such a way that the client can visualize each new facility in a 3D rendering that is to scale and customizable.”

Both SAP and Drytronic technology are compatible with all brands and types of automotive paint systems. The company’s Wave Length Control System (WLC) allows for the management of the various wavelengths based on the paint’s brand and type. All Symach equipment and technology has been tested and approved by Intertek for installation and use in North America.
