Cherokee Collision Centers announced the grand opening of its newest location in Canton, Ga.

Since being founded by Gene Sweeney in 1993, Cherokee Collision in Marietta has become well known and highly regarded due to their quality workmanship backed by a lifetime warranty. They are also known for assisting their customers during insurance claims to ensure the vehicle owner’s needs are met and they receive a proper and thorough repair with quality parts.

“Our family has been serving the Marietta and surrounding communities for many years, and we have had customers and businesses ask repeatedly when we would open another shop to serve their area,” said Sweeney. “Upon his graduating college, my son R.J. showed interest in becoming involved in the family business and, over the past several years, has shown that he’s extremely capable. As such, we decided the time was right to meet the community’s demand and open another location. Canton was found to offer the best choice since there were no quality service providers currently serving the area. It’s been a great deal of work and a labor of love, and we are confident it will be well worth the effort.”

R.J. Sweeney will manage the new Canton location and be responsible for day-to-day operations.

“I guess one could say that this is ‘my baby’ as, like my dad was with the first shop, I was involved in the new operation from concept to reality,” said R.J. “It’s been a major undertaking, which wouldn’t have been possible without my dad’s experience and knowledge. The newest location has allowed us to hire new employees and reward long-term team members with well-deserved promotions. I’m excited as to what the future holds for Cherokee Collision Centers, its staff and in serving the greater Canton area’s automotive collision and cosmetic needs with the highest levels of both quality and service.”
