Collision Billing Services to Hold First Meeting on Getting Paid Properly

"For years, the insurance companies have increased their profits on the backs of the shops, and it's time to stop," says CBS President Chuck Gosney.

Collision Billing Services (CBS), launched in July 2011 to get collision repair facilities paid
properly for procedures that are typically denied by insurers or labeled
as "included," is holding its first meeting on Tuesday, June 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 1420 Dixie Highway in Park Hills, Ky.

CBS is looking to gather specific information on:

• Test drive, post repairs
• Feather, prime and block (at refinish rate per EPA regulations)
• Detail for delivery
• Finish, sand and buff or denib and finesse (at refinish rate per EPA regulations)

CBS is asking its members to put these items on every repair order where they’re applicable and then send this data to them. CBS will then track this
information for approximately three months (or less, depending on response),
then go after the biggest offender(s) for non-payment.

"It’s time for action," said Chuck Gosney, president of CBS. "We’re going to work with the USACP (U.S. Alliance of Collision Professionals) and our other
members to secure payment for what you rightfully deserve. For years, the insurance companies have increased their profits on the backs of the shops, and it’s time to stop. It’s time to take the fight to them, and Collision Billing Services is proud to take up that fight on your behalf."

Members of CBS and/or USACP are welcome to bring non-members as long as they notify CBS ahead of time.
