Collision Industry Foundation Online Auction Kicks Off Friday

As part of the Blanket the City initiative, the Collision Industry Foundation (CIF) will be conducting an eBay auction starting on May 22. Items donated for the auction include: ad space on the trunk lid of the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger for the Michigan International Speedway NASCAR race in August, an autographed Jeff Gordon firesuit/race uniform, tickets to professional sporting events, hotel getaway packages and various industry specific goods and services.

The “Blanket the City” campaign was created in June 2008 to help distressed communities and specific charities. The foundation has selected Detroit, one of the hardest hit of all automotive communities, to benefit from the initiative, and two Detroit charities, Gleaners Food Bank and the Downtown Detroit Partnership, will receive proceeds from the auction.

To bid or learn more about the auctions visit the CIF eBay Store.

If you’d like to donate an item to the auction, please call the CIF office at (804) 427-6982 or e-mail [email protected].
