DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) says it has developed a field training process to help customers comply with the requirements of the EPA’s 6H Rule. This rule has been established to control the emissions of target HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants) in the collision center environment and the surrounding community.
This field training, available from local DuPont Performance Coatings sales representatives and distributors, is consistent with the training offered at DuPont’s Refinish Systems Training Centers and covers the basic requirements for collision centers, including:
1. Collision center initial notification to the EPA that they are a HAPs source.
2. Collision center compliance notification to the EPA that they have received the required training (knowledge assessment) and have completed the performance evaluation portion of the certification.
3. Paint technician training.
4. Collision center record keeping requirements.
