ESAB Announces New Vice President of Product Management and Development


ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has announced that Michael J. Ostaffe has joined ESAB as vice president of product management and development – filler metals for North America. He’ll be responsible for driving ESAB’s programs forward in product management, product research and development of filler metals. He’ll also assume the responsibility for marketing communications for all products in North America.

“We’re pleased to have Michael join our team,” said Mark Elender, ESAB senior vice president of sales and marketing for North America. “With the addition of Michael, we hope to create a cohesive team that will further focus the organization to retain and develop more business in one of ESAB’s core business units.”  

Ostaffe comes to ESAB from Honeywell, General Electric, Philips and A.T. Kearney where he held various management and consulting roles. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Michael and his family will be relocating from Minnesota to the Hanover, Pa., area.
