EstimateScrubber.com Releases New Apps

The new apps include an Axalta Coating Systems Refinish Materials Reporting/Invoicing app and a CollisionPartsSource parts exchange app.

VehicleOwnersGuide.com announced the addition of two apps and new scrubbing rules to EstimateScrubber.com.

The new apps include an Axalta Coating Systems Refinish Materials Reporting/Invoicing app and a CollisionPartsSource parts exchange app. The new scrubbing rules include implementing the Collision Advice Sales Mix Guidelines and other scrubbing rules.

The Axalta Refinish Materials Reporting/Invoicing app reads Audatex, CCC or Mitchell estimates and Axalta’s ColorNet color retrieval system documents to generate a refinish materials invoice. The app also compares actual mixed quantities against Axalta guidelines. The app is provided at no extra cost to EstimateScrubber.com subscribers.

The CollisionPartsSource.com app lets shops list parts they have on hand. The parts are visible to other shops’ scrubbing estimates. EstimateScrubber.com subscribers can list parts at no extra cost. Both subscribers and users of the free, reduced-functionality version can see listed parts when scrubbing estimates.

The Collision Advice Sales Mix reviews scrubbed estimates against the guidelines developed by Collision Advice. Materials, labor and parts metrics are compared against the guidelines. The analysis is provided at no extra cost to EstimateScrubber.com subscribers.

“The 30/20/10 Sales Mix Guidelines were empirically developed from a large cross-section of shops,” said Collision Advice’s Mike Anderson. “The basic idea is there is a mix of parts, labor and materials that will help achieve maximum gross profit. Estimate metrics are now calculated and compared against the guidelines during the scrubbing process. This lets shops see how their scrubbed estimates stack up against the 30/20/10 guidelines.”

A new effective-materials rate review allows repairers to determine the effective-materials rate/amount on estimates they receive that cap refinish materials.

“The new functionality lets us expand the power of the EstimateScrubber by leveraging information/methods developed by others,” said Steven Siessman, president, VehicleOwnersGuide.com. “There are a lot of good ideas out there. Our goal is to expand the power of the scrubber by working with others to implement their good ideas as a part of the scrubbing process.”

Steve Trapp, North American Training & Development manager, Axalta Coating Systems, added, “The Axalta Refinish Materials Reporting/Invoicing app helps our customers proactively manage their refinish materials efficiency. They can easily check their materials usage against our guidelines to identify under/over opportunities in their paint departments. In addition, they can create a detailed liquids invoice to more easily document their materials usage using our invoice format.”
