Fabick Protective Coatings Announces Gary Shapiro as Senior Chemist

Fabick has announced the addition of Gary Shapiro as the new senior chemist and quality control manager.

Shapiro, a degreed chemist, comes to Fabick with more than 20 years’
experience in the polymer field as well as actively participating in the
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). His extensive
background includes several management positions with a specialization
in Polyurea, Polyurea hybrid, Urethane coatings and “GREEN,” renewable
or bio-based Polyurea and Polyurea hybrid coatings, making him a perfect
fit for Fabick Protective Coatings, according to the company.

Owner Jay Fabick said, “At a time when so many companies are cutting
back or outsourcing their talent, we see Gary as a critical hire for us
as we continue to grow.  Bringing our chemical production in-house has
generated growing sales, so we look forward to Gary playing a critical
role in our expansion.”

Fabick is the home of the patented “poured-on” technology, offering both
sprayed-on and poured-on business opportunities as well as providing
consistent quality chemicals for the coatings market.
