Fallen Soldier's Mother to Receive Recycled Ride

Minnesota Body Shop to Donate Recyled Ride to Fallen Soldier’s Mother

LaMettry’s Collision, together with local vendors and Farmers Insurance, will be gifting a refurbished 2009 Nissan Altima to Cheryl Zaun as part of the NABC’s Recycled Rides program.

LaMettry’s Collision of Minneapolis, Minn., announced that it, along with local vendors and Farmers Insurance, will be donating a refurbished 2009 Nissan Altima to a fallen soldier’s mother in honor of Memorial Day as part of the NABC’s Recycled Rides program.

The recipient is Cheryl Zaun of Eden Prairie, Minn., mother of Sergeant First Class Mickey E. Zaun, who died Jan. 28, 2005 from injuries sustained during an armored vehicle collision near Mosul, Iraq. Prior to his death, Cheryl had been in a bike accident and a car accident resulting in severe injuries. As a result, she is unable to work and lives on disability.

LaMettry’s will hand over the keys at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 19 at EP Auto Tire & Glass.

The vehicle was donated by Farmers Insurance and repaired by LaMettry’s Collision with help from many local vendor partners. This is the fifth vehicle LaMettry’s has repaired and donated.
