FCC Collision Centers Opens New Shop in Bay Area

North Mountain View location to focus on aluminum repair, non-DRP work.

FCC Collision Centers, a multi-shop operator based in the South Bay Area, has announced the opening of a new location in Mountain View, Calif. The new shop, expected to employ about 12 people, is the fourth location opened by Adam Piper and his sons, Matt and Jason.

"This shop is going to be a designated aluminum repair facility, with a separate room for aluminum repair," says Adam Piper.

Piper says the 12,000-square-foot shop will assist in load-leveling with FCC’s South Mountain View location, which focuses on dealing with insurance companies and improving cycle time. "We want to send non-DRP work to the new shop," he explains.

The Piper family ultimately hopes to own a minimum of five shops in its market area.
