Fix Auto Reveals Educational Lineup of National Conference

Michael Bennett of Axalta Coating Systems and former Major Leaguer Jim Abbott among speakers.

The Sonoran Desert will serve as the backdrop for the 11th annual Fix Auto National Conference scheduled for September 15-18 at Boulders, a world-class Waldorf Astoria Resort in the desert foothills of Scottsdale, Ariz. This year’s theme, which focuses on marketing to create differentiation for repairers, is infused in the program. The following are some of the highlights:

• The Brand Change Challenge – Changing a brand isn’t easy for any size business, but the stakes were especially high for DuPont Performance Coatings as they transitioned to the Axalta Coating Systems brand. The company’s North America marketing manager, Michael Bennett, will discuss what it took to ensure a smooth changeover.

• The Future of Collision Parts – Parts have always played a critical role in the collision repair process, but their availability, procurement and quality continue to be at the heart of heated debate. This panel discussion will feature insight into the parts world from a variety of industry experts.

• Keynote speaker Jim Abbott – The former major league standout will reflect on the challenges he has met and overcome, which he has distilled into a presentation especially relevant to collision repairers: “ADAPT: Overcoming Adversity."

In addition to providing this content, the conference features a number of activities that promote networking experiences such as ATV excursions in the surrounding desert, a team building program that benefits a local children’s charity and a progressive dinner on one of two champion 18-hole golf courses on-site.

“A key message in this year’s conference lineup is establishing marketing principles that will give our attendees a competitive advantage,” said Fix Auto President and COO Paul Gange. “In an industry that continues to evolve, it’s an invaluable skill, and we look forward to sharing that message and our vision with the best of the best this fall.”
