A special recognition dinner was held March 25 to celebrate Gatorland Toyota of Gainesville, Fla., as one of three recipients of the 2013 Toyota Certified Collision Center of the Year award.
Accepting the award on behalf of Gatorland Toyota and its 23 collision center employees was Dennis Gair, collision center manager.
According to Brad Brahe, body shop development manager for Toyota Motor Sales, the award goes to the dealer that best exemplifies the spirit of certification. Dealers are evaluated on a points system based on customer satisfaction; manager, estimator and technician certification; facility and equipment requirements; and benchmark achievements. More than 180 dealers nationwide participate in the Toyota Certified Collision Center (TCCC) program.
Attending the event were representatives of PPG and Ben’s Paint Supply, Gatorland Toyota’s waterborne paint supplier and its local PPG Platinum Distributor. They presented commemorative gifts to all shop personnel.
“So much of our operational success is due to the TCCC program and the support we receive from Ben’s Paint Supply and PPG, including their technical assistance and the guidance we receive from the MVP Business Solutions program,” said Gair.
Added Bill Shaw, director of business development, PPG, “We congratulate Dennis and his entire team for this outstanding achievement. It’s great to see that Gatorland Toyota, under Dennis’ leadership, understands the importance of how TCCC and support from its business partners can deliver the winning combination for success.”
