GCommerce Closes on Acquisition of PBEPRO

PBEPRO is an electronic catalog of refinishing and industrial products with a commerce engine that can be private labeled for integration with a distributor’s website.

GCommerce Inc. announced the acquisition of PBEPRO, a provider of content and commerce support for the paint, body and equipment and industrial products industries. The acquisition marks the beginning of the GCommerce Data Cloud division and entry into services related to product content that complement the GCommerce transaction network.

“GCommerce is a transaction company with an insatiable appetite for content,” said Steve Smith, founder and CEO. “Annually, we process over 10 million transactions, and all of them are fueled by product content. Our acquisition of PBEPRO enables GCommerce to better enable our customers to increase revenue through the combination of product content, drop-ship/special order solutions and electronic transactions.”

PBEPRO is an electronic catalog of refinishing and industrial products with a commerce engine that can be private labeled for integration with a distributor’s website. PBEPRO allows distributors to easily and inexpensively get into the PBE business, and increase top-line revenue.

“Manufacturers who list their products with PBEPRO gain visibility on a platform that reaches 25 percent of U.S. distribution,” said Scott Luckett, vice president, Industry Strategy for GCommerce. “Distributors/retailers currently in the GCommerce network can all benefit from PBEPRO, including national retailers, traditional WDs, specialty distributors and program groups. GCommerce is excited to bring a new revenue-generating opportunity to the vast distribution network we serve.”

GCommerce will be officially announcing the PBEPRO acquisition and formation of the GCommerce Data Cloud at the AAPEX Show at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nov. 3-5, at booth no. 3662.
