Gerber Collision & Glass Acquires Repair Center in Washington

The Boyd Group Inc. has announced the December 2011 acquisition of a collision repair center in Kent, Wash. The Boyd Group now owns and operates 11 locations in Washington, which brings the total number of U.S. locations to 137.

The new repair center will operate under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name and is approximately 12,200 square feet in size, with 10,200 square feet of production space. The new facility expands coverage in the local market, bridging the service area between existing locations, according to the company.

"This location will allow us to better service vehicle owners and insurance partners in the area with an expanded footprint both locally and across Washington as we continue to execute on our strategic growth objectives to further increase our presence throughout North America," said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations.
