Hertz Corporation Named CARSTAR’s National Car Rental Partner

CARSTAR and Hertz Corporation have partnered to provide CARSTAR centers with the ability to offer its customers Hertz rental cars. This will allow CARSTAR centers to give consumers going through the post-accident vehicle repair process a better customer experience.

Beginning March 1, participating CARSTAR stores around the U.S. will offer customers Hertz rental cars. CARSTAR selected Hertz as the exclusive preferred rental car provider because of the service model Hertz offers CARSTAR franchisees.

“By offering premium car rental services through Hertz with on-site vehicles and an efficient rental process, we can continue to build upon our 97 percent average for customer satisfaction,” said Dick Cross, CEO of CARSTAR.

Serving the insurance replacement industry for almost 10 years, Hertz currently has approximately 1,650 off airport locations that reach customers in the top 50 metropolitan areas and is a recognized supplier to more than 185 of the largest 209 insurance companies.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to work with CARSTAR,” said Mark P. Frissora, Hertz chairman and CEO. “Hertz has been aggressively expanding into the off airport and insurance replacement industries, and by partnering with CARSTAR, we’re able to expand our reach into the replacement industry.”

Cross added that the addition of Hertz services will help participating CARSTAR centers become more profitable.

“We also are focused on how we can help our franchisees build their business through new programs and service improvements,” added Cross. “The new partnership with Hertz is an excellent example of how CARSTAR is working for our franchisees. We look forward to a great relationship with Hertz, and a profitable partnership for our franchisees.”
