I-CAR Announces New Vehicle Technology Courses

The three new online courses bring I-CAR’s total Vehicle and Technology Specific Training course portfolio to 51.

I-CAR has announced the continued expansion of its Vehicle and Technology Specific Training (VTST) curriculum with the launch of three new courses.

The three new online courses bring I-CAR’s total VTST course portfolio to 51, with more courses expected to be added this year as the complexity of today’s advanced vehicles require more specialized repair techniques than ever before.

The three new courses, each of which counts toward annual Gold Class and Platinum training requirements, are as follows:

  • Car-O-Liner CMI300 PulseTrio – GMA Welder Operation and Tuning. A one-hour course that introduces the settings, functions, adjustments and advanced tuning techniques for the CMI300 PulseTrio.
  • Chief MultiMig 525 – GMA Welder Operation and Tuning. An online, one-hour course that introduces the settings, functions, adjustments and advanced tuning techniques for the Chief 525.
  • Portable Measuring Systems for Damage Analysis. A half-hour course that highlights the benefits of using portable 3D measuring technology during the discovery phase of damage analysis. From set-up to documentation, this course provides a portable measuring systems overview to produce accurate estimates. Students are also introduced to the tools and equipment available for measuring collision damage during the initial estimate phase.

I-CAR also announced the addition of three discounted, online VTST course packages as part of its ongoing industry relief efforts. The discounted course packages are available through June 23, 2020: Specific Vehicle Repair Overview Package, Collision Repair for Nissan and Kia Package and Critical Tools and Techniques Package. All three also count toward annual I-CAR training requirement. Details of I-CAR’s continuing COVID-19 Industry Relief efforts can be found here.
