I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, has announced that Doug Schlueter has been named national MSO manager. Rene Rodarte has been appointed as Schlueter’s successor as south central regional manager.
Jeff Peevy, I-CAR senior director, field operations and segment development, said, "Doug will be instrumental in his new role as National MSO Manager at I-CAR. He will focus on growing the Multi Shop Operator (MSO) segment and will establish and maintain relationships, as well as work to improve operational efficiencies. Through serving in the role of South Central Regional Manager since 2009, Schlueter has gained a clear understanding of the needs of the MSO segment and has the skills necessary to help I-CAR and the industry achieve its goals."
Schlueter brings with him 20-plus years of operations and sales management leadership, including his previous role where he served as vice president of sales and marketing for a national commercial cleaning company. Schlueter’s other previous positions included director of auctions for Yellow Corporation, general manager for Copart and Insurance Auto Auctions, and manager for Hertz and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Schlueter received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of North Texas.
Stepping into the position of south central regional manager is Rene Rodarte, a former center manager for Caliber Collision in San Antonio, Texas.
"Rene has been an active part-time I-CAR Instructor and San Antonio Committee Member for the past 10 years, and I-CAR is pleased to welcome him as a full-time regional manager to the South Central Region. His experience in the industry and with I-CAR made him an ideal candidate for the south central regional manager position," said Peevy.
Rodarte brings 17-plus years of experience in many roles of the collision repair business. He has held operations management leadership roles with Sterling Autobody and two independent operators in the San Antonio market.
Rodarte started his career as a technician in a family business and has achieved extensive accreditation through the Automotive Management Institute. He attributes many of his accomplishments to I-CAR training and the support of mentors within the I-CAR family.
Schlueter and Rodarte will both report to Peevy.
