I-CAR announced it will be hosting Illinois’ only First Responder Emergency Extraction (FREE) program Wednesday, Oct. 14th. First responders will have the opportunity to practice extrication techniques on late-model vehicles.
Ongoing advancements in vehicle technology require current training and knowledge on where and how to efficiently cut vehicles, which can help save lives and contribute to the safety of first responders.
The event will be hosted for the second time by I-CAR in collaboration with the National Auto Body Council (NABC). The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the I-CAR Training Support Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The program is provided at no cost to participants, and lunch will be provided.
State Farm donated the cars that will be used during the program.
