Independent Glass Association to Introduce Anti-Steering Comic Book

Are there any artistically gifted collision repairers out there? Please, we need your help! It looks like our industry could take a cue from the Independent Glass Association (IGA), which will debut a comic book called “Don’t Get Steered” at the 2008 Annual Conference and Auto Glass Show in Las Vegas next month.

Apparently, the IGA took the advice of consumer advocate Ralph Nader and commissioned a fully illustrated comic book to explain steering to consumers.

The comic book was written by IGA staffers and illustrated by artist Susan Meyers. The goal was to educate consumers, lawmakers and others in an easy, entertaining way about the issues independent glass shops face every day trying to compete in a market that’s controlled by competitor-administrators (sound familiar?).

For more information on how the comic book was produced, call Patrick Smith at (540) 720-7484 or visit www.iga.org.
