Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Reminds Consumers That Insurers Can’t Add Surcharge for Deer-Related Crashes
Teresa Miller tells Pennsylvanians that any crash involving a deer is considered a not-at-fault accident.
Insurance Journal reported that Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Teresa Miller reminded drivers that their insurance company cannot add a surcharge to their auto premium for a crash involving a deer.
Miller went on to add that under state law, any crash involving a deer is considered a not-at-fault accident and that insurers thus cannot add a surcharge to premiums for an accident involving a deer.
