The upcoming Collision Industry Conference (CIC) meeting, to be held at the Salt Lake City Sheraton in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 21 and 22, will highlight industry education.
A panel discussion titled, "Meeting the Future Training Needs of our Collective Industry, Buyers and Sellers" will start with a video produced by Scott Biggs from Assured Performance which will highlight the changes to body design and technologies that are being implemented into vehicles today. The meeting will then turn to a panel discussion by the "Sellers of Training" (OEMs, training organizations, paint and equipment providers) to the "Buyers of Training" (repairers and insurers).
The discussion will give insights into current education programs and initiatives underway to fill future needs. Those in attendance will be able to participate in the discussion and contribute to the improvement of the education process. The event is being hosted by the CIC Education and Training Committee.
"Tomorrow is here now; this event is centered on the greater need for our industry to have current, thorough education available and to ensure the people working on the vehicles are getting this on a regular basis," said CIC Chairman Michael Quinn, co-founder of 911 Collision Centers. "Vehicle technology is changing rapidly, and that puts education at the utmost importance for our industry. I’m looking forward to having this valuable discussion at the upcoming CIC meeting."
