A Clifton Heights, Pa., body shop tested a local TV anchor’s repair skills for NBC Channel 10’s “Take This Job” segment. Anchor Aditi Roy visited Keenan Auto Body’s Clifton Height’s to tape the segment, which will air Thursday morning.
“This type of event doesn’t happen every day so to say we were excited about Aditi’s visit would be an understatement,” said Craig Camacho, Keenan Auto Body’s marketing director. “I watch their newscast every morning and figured weeks ago that it couldn’t hurt to submit our interest in their program. When I received a call from Aditi herself on Friday the 20th letting me know that she wanted to tape the segment the following Monday, I said, ‘Sure, it’s a no-brainer.’”
While taping the segment and with the help of Chip Harper, one of Keenan East’s “A” technicians Roy removed and replaced a driver’s side mirror on a Cadillac Escalade and welded a right side apron on a Subaru Impreza. With Chris Parker, one of Keenan East’s two painters, Roy donned a respirator to prime part of a hood and front bumper for a Mazda 3.
Keenan’s "Take This Job" segment will air Thursday at 5:45 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. In addition to taping the segment, the entire Keenan East facility taped the chant, “You’re watching NBC10 Today, and this is your morning wake up call.”
