Latest CCC ONE Mobile Release Includes VIN Scanning Technology

As announced at its CCC Industry Conference in May,
the “vehicle check-in feature” is now available to CCC ONE Mobile
users via CCC ONE Repair Workflow. This latest CCC feature allows
repair facilities to use the camera of an Apple handheld device to
scan a vehicle identification number (VIN). With the VIN scanned, additional
information about the vehicle and owner is ready for immediate entry.

When an assignment has
already been received by the repair facility, the customer information is
pre-populated on the device. After entering the administrative information
(condition, areas of impact, etc.) at the vehicle, users can then take pictures
of the vehicle using the same camera. All of the information captured from the
device is immediately available in the CCC ONE platform, allowing estimators to
simply open the workfile and begin writing the estimate.

“I’ve had customers
who have seen other shops do it the hard way, writing the VIN down,” said Vern
David, general manager of Central Body Works in Bakersfield, Calif. “The
look on their faces when they see us scan it is – blown away. They can’t
believe it.”

The CCC ONE Mobile
application with the “vehicle check-in feature” can be downloaded from the App
Store online store at no additional charge to current CCC ONE
Mobile users.
