Lincoln Electric Launches Welder Giveaway, YouTube Channel

Lincoln Electric and the Speed Channel show “Two Guys Garage” plans to give away 14 welding packages in an online offer.

By completing an online survey, participants can enter to win a free Lincoln Electric POWER MIG 140C welding machine and Vista 1000 auto-darkening helmet – a package valued at $1,000. Winners can choose from six differently designed Vista 1000 helmets, including Heavy Metal, Red Rod, SurfRod, Nascar, Black and Patriot.

The survey features questions about welding and what projects viewers would like to see on “Two Guys Garage.”

“The team at ‘Two Guys Garage’ has been a big supporter of Lincoln Electric products,” said Chris Ilcin, marketing communications specialist at Lincoln Electric. “Teaming up with them on this promotion will help us reward the viewers who make the show so popular while allowing us to better understand the interest and desires of today’s welders.”

The contest ends Sept. 24, 2009.

To enter, visit www.twoguysgarage.com and click on the “Lincoln Electric – Win a POWER MIG 140C and Helmet” button in the upper right corner.

Lincoln Electric has also launched lincolnelectrictv, a YouTube channel that highlights product demonstrations, welding applications and tips from welding and fabricating industry professionals.

Users can view short informational videos, including a series of “Tech Tips” by Bryan Fuller, star of “Two Guys Garage.” Fuller gives instructions with Lincoln Electric’s MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment and provides insight on how to choose the correct tools for welding projects. Other videos include product demonstrations of new Lincoln Electric products.
