Maaco Honored at Inaugural Disney World Procurement Awards

Maaco Orlando received this honor for their work in effectively painting and refurbishing the amusement park’s trashcans.

Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting of Orlando, owned by Matt and Caroline Peach, was acknowledged recently as an outstanding supplier in the Parks and Resorts category of Disney World’s inaugural Sourcing and Procurement awards. Maaco Orlando received this honor for their work in painting and refurbishing the amusement park’s trashcans.

“Twenty-four years ago, I was cleaning these same trashcans as a member of the custodial team,” said Matt Peach, co-owner of Maaco Orlando. “Today, I’m restoring them as an award-winning supplier to Disney World. I am very proud and thankful to Disney World’s procurement team for this honor.”

In 2014, Maaco Orlando presented a comprehensive case that compelled Disney World to extend their contract an additional five years. Disney’s Parks and Resorts Custodial Operations and Sourcing and Procuring departments have continuously recognized Maaco Orlando as innovative and applauds the team’s initiative to execute ideas that enhance the partnership.

“We are most impressed by Matt and Caroline’s ability to identify and solve problems for us,” said Nathalia Talaa, strategic sourcing and procurement specialist at Disney World. “We appreciate and value proactive partners like Maaco Orlando.”

Maaco Orlando has worked to beautify Disney World’s grounds since 2010 and plans to continue to live up to their established reputation as reliable, respected partners.

“These are showpieces – not trashcans,” said Peach. “We’re excited to do our part to make Disney World a more magical place.”
